Aveeno Clear Complexion Foaming Cleanser

0.5% Salicylic Acid. A gentle foaming cleanser that I use on my nose to keep blackheads at bay. I use it whenever I see that my nose is getting congested. In summer months. I’ll use this on my face 1-3 times a week to control bacteria and minimize the chance of blackheads and the occasional pimple.

At a concentration of 0.5%, the Salicylic Acid isn’t going to clear out stubborn or large blackheads. It’s more of a preventive measure.

You don’t need a fancy brand for a salicylic acid cleanser. Salicylic Acid is Salicylic Acid regardless of what’s wrapped around it. Aveeno is a budget-friendly brand for a product that is not an essential part of my skin care routine.

If you have acneic skin or many stubborn blackheads, you’ll want at least a 1% concentration. 2% is typically recommended.
