Dermalogica Tri-Active Cleanse
This is a 3-in-1 cleanser that cleanses, exfoliates, and brightens. Dermalogica excels in the cleansing department. Precleanse (another product highlighted here) is what I use right before Tri-Active Cleanse. I’m also a big fan of Dermalogica’s AgeSmart Skin Resurfacing Cleanser, a 2-in-1 cleanser (cleanses & exfoliates). But I use Tri-Active Cleanse because it gives me the added benefit of brightening.
Pst, brightening is the code word for whitening/lightening, but it’s illegal for cosmetic companies to use the word ‘whiten’ or ‘lighten.’ Only products approved by the FDA can claim they “lighten” by using an active ingredient such as Hydroquinone (which is considered a drug ingredient).
This cleanser has a light, creamy texture. Since it exfoliates, I use it only a few times a week (at most). It’s not good to exfoliate too much. Skin needs time to regenerate. If you have thick, sun-damaged skin, you can exfoliate more often than someone with thinner skin.
Note: Pictured here is the professional size for licensed skin care professional. The retail version, which is the exact same product, comes in different packaging.
