Peter Thomas Roth Instant Mineral SPF 45
This mineral sunscreen brush is a great way to touch up your sun protection during the day or when you’re on-the-go. It’s a loose powder that you brush onto your face with the retractable brush applicator. You don’t need to wash your face to re-apply cream or lotion-based sunscreen, and you can brush it over makeup without changing the finished color palette. I carry this brush in my bag all the time.
21% Titanium Dioxide, 20% Zinc Oxide.
How do I know if I have enough of the powder sunscreen on so it protects my skin? thanks.
It’s a bit tricky to see the mineral powder particles against your skin, because this is a loose powder. This powder is designed to be ‘invisible’ (not create a new color on your skin). When you roll the brush to dispense, make sure you can see the powder on the tip of your brush (it will be a clay or tan color). Then, brush over each area of the face once. Don’t go over the same area twice unless you dispense more powder onto the brush. You’ll only be sweeping up the powder and re-dispersing it to a different part of your face or into the air if you brush back and forth over the same area. Through trial and error, you’ll get a feel for whether there is a ‘coat’ over your skin. Because it is difficult to get an even coating with this kind of loose powder, I use an underlying cream-based sunscreen and treat this loose powder as ‘extra protection.’ Hope this helps!
