Shiseido White Lucent Brightening Balancing Softener

This is a hydrating toner. Shiseido doesn’t use the word ‘toner.’ They call it ‘softener.’ All the softeners in Shiseido’s different product lines contain a high amount of humectants, either hyaluronic acid or sodium PCA. Humectants are water-binders. They draw water into the skin.

I use 3 different softeners by Shiseido. For different occasions.

The ‘White Lucent’ line is Shiseido’s brightening line. This is good for skin with hyperpigmentation. I use this on my cheeks where I have dark spots. I also like using this in the summer as it has a lighter ‘weight’ than the Benefiance or The Skincare toner. The texture is more on the watery side.
