A typical AM skincare routine for my face.

I layer serums and take a very targeted approach to treating my face. You don’t need to use a serum over the whole face. You can (and should) spot treat your face. Because your skin is not the same everywhere. So why should you use the same products?

For each of these products, I have others that I swap in and out depending on my mood and skin conditions.

Rodial Dragon’s Blood Hyaluronic Tonic – Toner for all over the face to hydrate and prep my skin for everything else that comes after. I have beaten the topic of toners to the ground, so please see this article on hydration to learn why this is so helpful 🙂 This one is good at dampening my face fast, thanks to how it sprays (the amount and radius of the spray).

HydrafacialMD Dermabuilder – Peptide serum on the whole forehead – for horizontal expression lines + glabellar lines (the eleven’s between the eyebrows). Its light, fluid texture makes it easy to spread over large areas.

Replenix Power of Three Serum – Antioxidant serum for the whole face or sections of it. Has resveratrol, green tea, caffeine. The texture is more gel-like. It dries up fast, so not ideal for spreading over large areas. But it’s a reasonably priced serum that gets the job done.

Tatcha Deep Brightening Serum – Brightening treatment for cheeks where I have dark spots. This one has licorice, an excellent skin brightener, antioxidant, and anti-inflammatory. It has a beautifully light, fluid texture that makes it easy to layer with other serums.

AMG Naturally Moringa Infused Daily Moisturizer Cream – A light medium-weight moisturizer with a blend of oils. It absorbs easily and has a pleasant scent. There is no SPF in it, but sometimes I will use a moisturizer with SPF (even though my sun protection primarily comes from the sunscreen or BB cream after this). It doesn’t hurt to have more.

RevisionSkincare Vitamin C Lotion 30% – Vit C serum for the whole face or select areas where aging will show up first (e.g. nasolabial folds, hollow part under the eyes & crows feet, forehead, jowls). This very high concentration is possible due to its advanced form of Vitamin C (THD Ascorbate or THDA). It’s the most stable and most potent form. This serum just won NewBeauty’s Best Vitamin C Product award.

Coverqueen Whitening BB Cream SPF 30 PA++ – On the days I feel like wearing BB cream, I will use a Korean BB Cream. They come in light, comfortable textures with fairly high UVA protection. On the days when I don’t feel like having color on my face, I will wear a high % Zinc Oxide sunscreen.
