My Korean skincare order just arrived. As you can see, I’m in the mood for snail.
from Left to Right:
Liole Intensive Time Reversing Snail Cream
Banila Clean It Zero Cleansing Balm (this is the jumbo size)
Mizon Peptide 500 Serum
CosRx Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence
SkinWatchers Green Snail Intensive Cream
And I am blown away by this:
The first date (middle row) is the Production Date. March 2. That’s 7 weeks ago! I placed this order 2 weeks ago. This serum is SUPER FRESH! The order shipped directly from Korea.
The second date is the Expiration Date. Two years of shelf life is standard.
Korean skincare brands provide one or both dates. I wish American companies would too. In the U.S., only sunscreens are required to have an expiration date on the package.
You know all cosmetic companies should have production and expiry date I just had a severe allergic reaction to an old tube of clarins beauty flash so much so I had to be rushed to hospital in an ambulance there is no expiry date or even a 12 – 24 month period from date of purchase which is useless as you don’t know how fresh it is. Seriously how many women remember when they exactly bought things.
It’s irresponsible for these giant companies who make billions of $ a year and don’t provide information that is vital to the health of consumers
I was lucky today I thought I wasn’t going to make it. Others might not be so lucky
We should start a campaign about this really serious issue
I could not agree more! Anything that spoils ought to have an expiration date. Food and medicine have expiration dates. It’s astonishing that skincare and cosmetics don’t. I am sorry you had such a close call with that old tube of Clarins.
