It is that dreaded time of year for me. ALLERGY SEASON. My skin becomes hyper-sensitive, my eyes itch, I blow my nose like crazy, and my nose gets red and dry.
This is one of my ALLERGY ROUTINES. I keep it simple and skip potent serums that can be too aggressive on sensitized skin.
ALLERGY TIPS:
– KISS. Keep It Short and Simple! Less is better.
– Focus on barrier repair and soothing skin. Cut back on exfoliation too.
1. Dermastart ClearChoice Hydrating Cleanser – a gentle, milky cleanser with anti-inflammatory and calming ingredients
2. Dermalogica Ultracalming Mist – a hydrating, calming toner
3. Dermastart ClearChoice Advanced Vitamin K Serum – Vitamin K is good for reducing redness and bruising and healing capillaries. Also good for dark circles. I put this around my nose to reduce the redness.
4. Dermastart ClearChoice Sodium Hyaluronate Serum – this is clinical strength hyaluronic acid (65% concentration)
5. Circadia Tranquili Cream – a soothing moisturizer
6. Nia24 Eye Repair Complex – an emollient eye cream. I like the Niacinamide in it (the active form of niacin, Vitamin B3). It’s a multi-tasking ingredient that’s good at barrier repair.
7. Molliderm Cream – a barrier repair cream that I use around my nostrils. My nose needs something with minimal ingredients so it won’t get irritated.
