My favorite holistic skincare duo – Sulwhasoo Essential Balancing Water and Concentrated Ginseng Renewing Cream.
Balancing Water – A hydrating toner. (In Korean skincare, toners are called by other names.) The gel texture is unusual for a toner – slightly syrupy instead of the watery fluid found in Western toners. It is best applied by hand (not spraying). The toner makes my skin soft and hydrated, and the scent relaxes me too. I love this so much that when the sample is gone, I’ll buy the full size.
Ginseng Cream – A moisturizing cream that isn’t heavy. My skin looks revitalized after using it. It is a moisturizer that makes an impact right away. There is a high concentration of a rare Korean ginseng, which rejuvenates skin, and some skin brightening ingredients (milkvetch, white mulberry). The texture is also smooth and creamy. It’s a pleasure to apply this on skin.
Both products smell of ginseng (the cream much more than the toner). But it’s not a medicinal smell. I personally love the scent and find it relaxing.
