Why do things that taste good have to bad for us? 🙂
Did you know that sugar AGES SKIN?
It likes to attach to protein. COLLAGEN happens to be a large protein. So it’s an easy target in skin. When sugar attaches, the collagen becomes hard and deformed. And a wrinkle is born!
Damaged collagen also leads to sagging skin and sallow skin tone. This is why sugar is toxic to skin. This process is called GLYCATION.
What You Can Do To Protect Yourself From Toxic Sugar
1. Limit sugary foods. Of course, you need calories to survive. Just be smart about where you get them from. Choose the good sugars, like fruits and vegetables, which give you vitamins and minerals. And cut down on the processed sugars (basically all desserts).
2. Use skincare products with Anti-Glycation ingredients.
You can read more about glycation and those ingredients here. I will also go over this more next time and show you a new, cool ingredient that solves this problem!
