I love eye creams! 🙂 Anti-aging eye treatments come in all forms. Creams, serums, oils, rollerballs, masks. And different textures – cream, gel, liquid, oil, silicone. With different functions too – basic moisturizing, reducing wrinkles, lifting, firming, lightening dark circles, de-puffing, treating sensitivity.
You don’t need this many. I just like having many options for different situations. Also, I’m developing fine lines around my eyes. Despite all my best efforts, aging happens! So treating my eyes is a high priority.
EYE SKIN TIP
If the skin around the eyes gets dried out, it will wrinkle faster. Therefore, the most important thing you can do for your eyes is keep them moisturized. Don’t let the skin dry out.
This alone will do more for you than any anti-aging eye cream. (And protecting it with sunscreen.)
Eye treatments can be expensive. If you can’t afford one, don’t worry. You can always use a face moisturizer (as long as it doesn’t irritate your eyes).
– Watch the skin carefully for the first week of use. Look out for white bumps (called #Milia). If you see them, stop using the cream.
– Layer another moisturizer over it if it’s not enough.
– Re-apply during the day if you need to.
– Applying a hydrating toner beforehand will keep your eyes moist longer.
