A new microchip sensor in my arm… JUST KIDDING! 🙂
I really don’t have a chip implanted in my skin (but someday I might!). Biological skin sensors will be possible in the future 😉
This is actually my skin treated by an erbium Yag laser (Er:YAG, 2940 nm). I was testing this on my skin in the clinic. We have a new IPL/laser machine.
It looks like a grid because of the pixelated tip that was used. The pixelation means that only a portion of the skin was treated. This is known as fractional resurfacing.
Those red dots will fade and fall off in about a week, revealing fresh new skin.
A laser like this is used to improve the overall quality of skin tissue – that includes Tone, Texture, Elasticity, and Color.
Curious about laser and IPL but find it confusing? Stay tuned – I’ll be writing about this topic soon!
