An example of light activated skincare today.
Here’s my handy LED light tool by LightStim (something you can buy too for use at home) and the new PhotoMasque treatment.
This clear, gel mask contains photosomes.
A PHOTOSOME is a plankton extract (type of seaweed) stored in a capsule (liposome). A liposome is like a gel capsule – a liquid inside a shell (e.g. Vitamin E capsule).
The plankton contains DNA repair enzymes, which repair damaged skin cells (especially UV damage).
Photosomes are activated by the light. So if I apply a layer of this masque onto my skin and then shine the light over it, the light will activate these ingredients inside my skin. Cool isn’t it?
The mask also contains hydrating ingredients (Hyaluronic Acid, Glycerin, Sodium PCA) to give skin a nice moisture boost too.
