AM Routine – Many products, but half are being used on specific parts of the face.
Skin is not the same everywhere. Some parts produce more oil (like the nose), some are more prone to wrinkling (like the eyes), some get dehydrated faster (outer edges of face).
So it makes sense to spot treat problem areas that need extra help, such as areas with wrinkles, spots, or clogged pores.
1. Cosmedix Benefit Balance – toner with witch hazel water (very hydrating!)
2. DNA Renewal DNA Regeneration Serum – DNA repair serum for all over face (also helps clear pores)
3. Lira Clinical Lite Serum – lightening spot treatment for sun spots on cheeks
4. DermAware True Beauty Serum – peptide serum for forehead lines & glabellar lines (“eleven’s”)
5. M2 Skincare Advanced Skin Refinish – mandelic acid (AHA treatment) for tip of nose (to keep blackheads under control)
6. iS Clinical C Eye Serum – Vitamin C treatment just for the eyes (gentle!)
7. iS Clinical Youth Eye Complex – eye cream with Hyaluronic Acid microspheres (tiny sponges that blow up once inside skin, making skin even more hydrated than regular Hyaluronic Acid!), Acetyl Octapeptide-3 (SNAP-8) for expression lines, copper growth factor
8. Revision Skincare DEJ Face Cream – firming & wrinkle cream for the face (creamier and softer than DEJ Eye)
9. Circadia Light Day Sunscreen SPF 37 – with Avobenzone (not my usual zinc, I’m indoors all day and want something light)
What do all of these products have in common? (Hint: No double dipping! 🙂 )

Hi Rita!
It is a pleasure to have found you on IG, and now be reading you on the blog. My name is Alnilam, I´m 31 and actually getting involved in my skincare. Basically I´m learning. That being said, I have “Combination-Oily” skin with tendency to acne, comedones, and congestion. I was wondering first in what order I should apply these products, then if these are for every skin type and condition, for example the Cosmedix Benefit Balance, and last where can I find the DermAware True Beauty Serum. I´m currently in Argentina so, if I could buy it online would be perfect.
Thanks so much for all the valuable info you share.
Hi Alnilam! Thanks for reading my blog and dropping me a note! The ordering of products can be tricky. May I suggest you read this post on Layering Skincare Products? I hope that will help you figure out how to order your own products.
Since your skin is acne-prone, the exact routine you see here wouldn’t be right for you. My skin is normal-dry and can accommodate more layers. Also, you would need acne or decongesting treatment products. But you can use Cosmedix Benefit Balance as a toner. This would be right after cleansing.
And you can use Dermaware True Beauty Serum too. But I would like to suggest another serum that I like better for treating expression lines – Revision Revox II Serum. Revox works really well on many people. Revision is a physician line that is only sold in doctor offices. You can look up the nearest provider on Revision’s website. I am not sure if there is a provider in Argentina, but call the company and they will find a way to get it to you.
Hi Rita! Thanks a lot for your response, I just saw this yesterday. I read the oily skin essentials post and it give me a better hint on the layering and also the products. I search for the Revision Revox II, and as I read also the post of diverted products, I was wondering if do you know this web: http://www.premierlook.com
I could’nt find a provider yet in Argentina, and since my brother lives in Houston if I buy it online I could send it to him. Just want to be sure if is the real deal, I also find this one: http://www.facemedix.com/revox-ii-0-5-oz Do yo know if those might be also from diversion?
Thank you very much!
Hi Alnilam, you’re welcome, glad that article was helpful! I do not know those two websites. But the first one (PremierLook) looks legitimate, not sure about FaceMedix. To be certain, you can verify them as well as ask for other sellers by contacting Revision: http://revisionskincare.com/contact-form. They’re strict about online selling, so they will know for sure!
Hi! Thanks a lot Rita, I’ll contact them to be sure. Have a nice day!
