Do you know what these MICRO treatments do?
They all make skin look younger, but the only thing they have in common is the word micro (meaning small). Each does a different thing for skin.
Here’s a cheat sheet:
1. micro-CURRENT – sends an electric current to your skin. For toning / firming / tightening/ lifting skin. (More on Microcurrent here.)
2. micro-DERMABRASION – polishes skin with crystals. For removing dead skin (a lot), making skin smoother, and improving uneven skin color or unwanted spots.
3. micro-NEEDLING – pricks your skin with small needles. This creates an artificial “wound” response and tricks your skin into making more collagen. For improving wrinkles or scars.
These treatments are offered in medical spas. You can even buy tools using similar technology to use at home.
