Skin Type
- Fitzpatrick Skin Type 3
- high risk for scarring
- high risk for post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation
- Normal skin type
- Pore Size – small pores, larger on nose
- Oil Production – normal amount of oil, a little shine on T-zone at end of day
- Thin Skin – does not tolerate too much exfoliation or abrasive particles
- Not Reactive – very rarely reacts to products, no known skin allergies
Skin Conditions
- Open comedones on nose (blackheads)
- Dehydration on forehead & outer cheeks
- Hyperpigmentation on cheeks (dark spots)
- Post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (occasional pimples that have healed into dark spots)
- Under-eye puffiness (mild)
- Early signs of aging –
- a few fine lines below the eyes but no crow’s feet
- the beginning of nasolabial folds (mild)
- the beginning of forehead lines (mild)
- the beginning of one glabellar line (mild)
- the beginning of under-eye dark circles (mild)
- the beginning of mild laxity along the jaw line

Rita’s Skin Care Routine
Daily Morning Routine
1. Cleanse with very mild cleanser (just small amount)
2. Hydrating Toner all over face
3. Peptide Serum on target areas (glabellar lines, forehead lines, nasolabial folds, under the eyes)
4. Firming or Lifting Serum on cheek areas near the nasolabial folds and jowl area
5. Brightening Serum on cheeks (where dark spots are)
6. Vitamin C or Antioxidant Serum over the whole face
7. Eye Serum
8. Eye Cream
9. Moisturizer with anti-aging ingredients
10. Sunscreen, BB Cream, or Primer w/Foundation on Face
- If not wearing foundation – sunscreen with zinc oxide
- If wearing foundation – primer with zinc oxide first, and then the foundation
- If wearing BB Cream – BB Cream with zinc oxide
11. Neck Serum
12. Sunscreen on Neck
Daily Night Routine
1. Double Cleanse
- Oil-based cleanser
- Water-based cleanser (usually milky or non-foaming gel)
2. Hydrating toner all over face
3. Peptide Serum on target areas (glabellar lines, forehead lines, nasolabial folds, under the eyes)
4. Retinol Cream on those same target areas
5. Firming or Lifting Serum on cheek areas near the nasolabial folds and jowl area
6. Brightening Serum on cheeks (where dark spots are)
7. Age-Fighting Serum over the whole face (a different one from the AM and other steps before this)
8. Eye Serum
9. Eye Cream
10. Moisturizer #1 with anti-aging ingredients
11. Moisturizer #2 OR an Oil OR a Sleeping Mask if needed 1 hour later (i.e. if skin feels dry before bed)
12. Neck Serum
13. Neck Cream
Weekly Routine
Exfoliation with AHA or enzyme-based exfoliant 1-2x/week (Rita’s skin likes enzymes and dislikes glycolic acid)
Mask (hydrating, brightening, or soothing) 1-2x/week (after exfoliation)
