Sunscreen Expiration Dates
Sunscreens have a 3 year shelf life. They are stable and effective for 3 years from the time they come off the manufacturing line.
But in reality, sunscreens are usually good for one more year after the expiration date.
Look for the expiration date stamped on the back or bottom of your product or box. Not all manufacturers provide this because it’s not required by law (they should).
Active ingredients do lose efficacy past their expiration date, so it is better to buy fresh sunscreen each year.
