Don’t Put Away Your Sunscreen! Fall may be here, but UVA rays haven’t left. They’re strong all year round. Even on cloudy days.

And why does it matter? Because UVA rays penetrate all the way to the dermis (lower level of skin), and damage collagen and elastin (hello aging!), as well as DNA and proteins (this can eventually lead to cancer). Oh, and add dark spots to that list.

So, just because you don’t burn doesn’t mean you don’t get UV damage. (Because you do, you just can’t see it.) Enjoy the sunshine but protect your skin. Wear sunscreen every day. Someday when you’re oldyou’ll be glad you did!

If you hate sunscreen, wear a light one. Even a low SPF is better than nothing. And if you care about preserving your skin and minimizing wrinkles, then wear at least an SPF 30, all year round.
