I hope you’re enjoying your final weekend of summer! I’m relaxing by the pool. (This is not mine, but I love this one because it blends in with nature! ?)
I’m sure you already know that you should shower after you get out of the pool. But if you’re like me, you may get lazy and not do it until hours later.
So here’s an important reminder:
CHLORINE, which is added to swimming pools to kill germs, is a free radical generator.
Chlorine damage means more skin aging and drier skin. If you already have dehydrated skin, chlorine makes it more dehydrated.
So wear sunscreen before you enter the pool. And wash your face & body right after you swim. This will minimize free radical damage to your skin.
